Into the Unknown

If anyone knows me, they know I’m obsessed with Disney movies. I can find so many life lessons in a 5 minute scene. So naturally while watching Frozen 2, I was overwhelmed with so much truth and so many encouraging lessons. The main lesson came from Elsa’s song, “Into the Unknown”.

For a while I’ve been feeling like I’m being called to something. I couldn’t quite figure out what it was or what I’m supposed to be doing in response to this feeling. I’ve sat, stuck and overwhelmed, trying to determine this feelings purpose. Just like Elsa, I’ve ignored the calling in order to stay safe in my realm of comfortability.

I’m a perfectionist. If I don’t know exactly what I need to do, I don’t do it. Not when it comes to my career. I love winging adventures with my sister Jennifer but other than that, I need a clear path laid out for me. So naturally, when I felt that calling, I didn’t quite jump at the chance to change my life.

“I'm afraid of what I'm risking if I follow you…Into the unknown.”

I was too worried to step into the unknown. I was having trouble walking by faith. But one day after LOTS of encouragement from friends and some inspirational Panda Express fortunes, I took the leap. I bought my domain name! I got to work on my website! I started writing again! I started to feel free and whole. I found myself again!

I dove deep into the unknown and found myself (listen to “Show Yourself from the Frozen 2 soundtrack. It’ll all come full circle). I can’t wait to continue diving into the unknown with each step of creating this business and building this brand. I can’t wait to continue to listen to my calling wherever it may take me.

What has been calling you? What have you been afraid of doing?
Don’t let it hold you back anymore. Step into the unknown and find something so much more fulfilling.
